Contact Us

The Twin-cities Expatriates Association was formed in 2003, to provide a contact point, a support network, an information service and an opportunity for expatriates and their families living in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to meet and get to know each other socially.

We are a non-profit registered Association run by a committee of resident expatriates.

Membership is open to anyone with a foreign passport, their partner and children regardless of nationality. Those who hold an Indian passport, have lived out of the country for ten consecutive years and have been in Hyderabad for not more than 6 months prior to the date of application are also welcomed. As members you are entitled to bring guests, of any nationality, to club functions, unless otherwise stated as being for members only due to a restricted number of places. Contact us at [email protected] for more information.

The aim of the association is to provide an opportunity for liaison between long term and newly arrived expatriates with a network to help find the services and information needed upon arrival in a new city and a new country e.g. medical services, shopping, education, recreation. With the help of all our members and using their experiences and recommendations we have compiled a directory of these services. By joining others at TEA we hope you will settle in quicker and feel less isolated as you adjust to your new surroundings.

As we have become more established we are seeking out worthy causes and endeavouring to give them practical and/or financial support. Our charities committee is already an active part of the association and we aim to support the very young and the very old in the local community.

Socially we aim to organise, on a fairly regular basis, social events based around traditional international and local celebrations. We also organise an informal weekly meeting point, on a Friday evening, at a bar or a restaurant to enable members to meet and relax together. (check Tea Events for details)

We currently have around 140 members of all nationalities giving us a lively mix of cultures and opportunities to celebrate one anothers national holidays and traditions e.g. Guy Fawkes, Carnivale, Independence Day, New Years Eve.

If you are planning a move to Hyderabad or Secunderabad, whether for a short or long-term visit in the near future, do not hesitate to contact us for more information about local services, living in India or general information about Hyderabad.
